About Lyndsey
Lyndsey was originally born and raised in Maine, riding and working around horses ever since she could remember. She grew up with multiple ponies & horses throughout her childhood and into her teen years. Showing and competing in both western and english events, she became highly interested in furthering her career in the horse industry. After graduating high school, she attended Johnson & Wales University to earn her B.S. degree in Equine Business Management in 2014.
After college, she got a job in Ohio working at an Arabian & Saddlebred Breeding/Training Farm, where she worked for about a year. She was the assistant trainer of Ed Lake (accomplished saddleseat trainer) and got to work with young, green, and highly trained horses of all sizes and levels, including various stallions and broodmares on a higher scale. She learned saddleseat and assisted in starting multiple Arabians for their future careers.
Moving back to RI, she got a barn management/training position at a Cutting Horse & USDA Angus beef farm that she had worked at part time in previous years. Here she worked for 5 years, managing (at times) 50+ head of cattle and 15+ horses. Administering meds, calving, and castrating cattle was only a small part of the cow end job. She learned the art of cutting and got the opportunity to start training youngsters and multiple horses on cows and the flag. She also got the opportunity to work with another successful trainer, Zoe Woodland in Ohio, to further her horsemanship skills and the skill of cutting. Sale horses, problem horses, teaching, and starting horses became her main focus to further her interest in the horse industry.
It wasn’t until 2017 when she finally opened her own business to the public, offering training of multiple disciplines and working with problem horses. Lyndsey still keeps an open mind with her training and furthering her teaching/training skills/Horsemanship by attending and participating in clinics all around the Northeast and Western parts of the US!
